Hey y’all! I’m Callan, a NYC and DFW based director, playwright, choreographer, and producer. I love making art that combines the different strengths of visual art, dance, and theater in order to make something unimaginable. In terms of themes, I focus on gender, the feminine experience, the southern experience, and what I like to call different ways of brain function. But ultimately, I am an artist because understanding each other seems like the big point of life and the performing arts, to me, are a step toward understanding. With theater, I want to create connection, suck the air out of the room, and make weird beautiful art that is community-based. I am in love with the surreal, the sparkly, the colorful, the calamitous, the new, and showing very real feelings in very unreal ways.
